Neely and Johnny first met online on a niche dating app called "Boo". They had both had some struggles in their lives with dating. Neely was jaded and tired of the dating scene, and ready to give up on finding love. Johnny was working hard to get back into dating after a long relationship. He decided to start a conversation that would soon spark into something so much more than either of them could image. After a few weeks of what seemed like a stream of small talk and simple greetings, Johnny had worked up the courage to ask Neely to meet in person. Neely was ready to call it quits but was touched by Johnny's sincerity; and offer to drive 2 hours from CT to RI to one of her favorite local coffee shops "Cafe Zara & Coffee House". The day of the date Neely had lost all hope for meaningful connection and considered not going, but Johnny's willingness to drive so far to meet her stood out, and she decided she could not ignore his efforts . Johnny had gotten to the coffee shop first and was standing in line to order a coffee, anxiously waiting for Neely to show up. Before he could order he noticed a statuesque beauty with burning red hair walk in through the door. Neely had anticipated that Johnny was going to be smaller in stature and shy. Instead her expectations where serendipitously shattered when she saw the handsome, tall, and broad shouldered man waiting for her. After ordering some coffee, they began to converse. Before they realized, 2 hours had gone by in what seemed like minutes. With their coffees long past finished, the two of them decided to extend the date into lunch at a nearby ramen shop where they opened up to each other about who they were and what was important to them. They bonded over food and personal quirks, and once again the time flew by in a flash as it was almost evening. Neely had to complete some errands but Johnny happily volunteered to join her and help her just so he could spend as much time as possible with her. What was supposed to be a simple package drop off at UPS and some last minute Christmas shopping became a little adventure for the two in Providence Place Mall that lasted the rest of the night. Finally 12 hours later from the start of the coffee date, Neely needed to return home. Since that day the two of them have had endless conversation, countless adventures, and spent time with each other every possible moment. Their connection has only grown deeper as they have experienced life together over the last three years.
