Psalm 37:4 is the foundation of our love story and is a perfect illustration of the Lord's faithfulness. Our story began with Madison's cousin (Ashlyn) being coworkers with Johnny in Denver, CO. As time went on, Ashlyn had a strong notion that Johnny and Madison would be a wonderful fit together. At this time, we were each seeking the Lord and praying for a spouse. The Lord had placed Psalm 37:4 on both of our minds and hearts: "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart." We both had been seeking the Lord about this for a few months and on July 13th, Johnny sought the Lord and cried out to Him. Johnny prayed fervently and asked the Lord to lead Him to his wife. The very next day at work, Ashlyn approached Johnny and said right off the bat, "I am going to set you up with my cousin, Madison." In that moment, his heart dropped. He knew that the Lord had to be involved. Communication between us began that very day. At the end of August 2025, Johnny headed to Arkansas for the very first time to meet Madison. We spent a couple days together and went on our first date at the WOW aquarium in Springfield, MO. After a fun weekend together, Johnny asked Madison to be his girlfriend. Before driving back to Denver, Johnny assisted Madison by hanging up a water color painting that her sister (Savannah) had painted. Madison had requested this painting months before, along with the verse Psalm 37:4 included. It was a full circle moment and demonstrated how faithful the Lord is to His people.
