Johnny and Josie met in 2015 in their first year at Penn State University through a mutual friend who was Johnny's childhood neighbor and happened to live on Josie's freshman year dorm floor. While they also happened to be in the same friend group through Greek life, Johnny finally asked Josie on their first date during Sophomore year when they watched Harry Potter together (Johnny's first time seeing it surprisingly). Now 7 years and many Harry Potter movies later, they have had built quite the life together. Johnny and Josie spent the rest of their time at Penn State going to date parties, watching Game of Thrones (RIP Ned Stark), and building a foundation for the future. After college, Josie stayed in Basking Ridge to go to graduate school while Johnny started his first big job in NYC that he still has to this day. They graciously thank NJ Transit for providing them a means to spend every weekend together exploring the city and falling deeper in love. During the COVID pandemic, Josie worked in a COVID-19 unit at an NYC hospital while Johnny sheltered at home in NJ. Unfortunately due to the nature of the job, they were not able to see each other for 4 months. After this, they decided they never wanted to experience this again and moved into their first apartment together in New York City where they still live more than 2 years later. On 6/03/22, Johnny popped the question at O'Nieals where Josie's parents met many years ago. Now they are so excited to bring their Penn State, NJ and NYC lives together for the wedding. We thank you all so much for being an amazing part of our lives and we can't wait to celebrate with you!
