On March 7th 2020, the weekend before St. Patrick’s Day and two weeks before COVID-19 lockdown, Bre and Johnny walked into Carson City Saloon in Southside. She quickly spotted him from across the bar and decided she had to introduce herself. After chatting all night long, and making a date to meet again, they realized their love story was just beginning. On their first date, Johnny arrived at Bre’s front door holding a bouquet of flowers, something Bre had always wanted a man to do for her. It was in that moment that she knew she had found the one. Johnny was handsome, caring, and charming and their first date lasted until the restaurant closed. They realized they had many mutual friends and grew up fifteen minutes apart, but never ran into each other until that one memorable night. Little did they know, in just two short weeks, a global pandemic would hit, and the world would go into lockdown. They continued to see each other daily, spending almost every minute with one another as their love continued to grow. Over the next year and half, they met each other’s families and friends, attended family gatherings, and went on countless vacations. Johnny knew that he had to make a move to make Bre his forever, thus beginning a new chapter in their story. On August 5th 2021, Johnny told Bre to be ready in the early morning to take family photos on the beach in Ocean City Maryland. To her surprise, waiting for her on the beach was a heart outlined in the sand with rose petals scattered about, a lit up “Marry Me” sign, and a bottle of champagne to celebrate the newly engaged couple. Hand in hand, Bre and Johnny walked along the beach where he got down on one knee. Bre’s heart was about to explode with happiness as both their lives would change forever. Bre quickly said yes, and their families (watching from the hotel balconies) clapped, shouted, and stormed the beach to congratulate the couple! It was truly a fairytale. That evening, both families planned the most beautiful surprise! An engagement party was thrown on the beach, where everyone in attendance wore white, and each table was adorned with roses. The day was unforgettable. Music, dancing, and laughs ensued for a night they’d never forget. We cannot wait for you to join in on the celebration in August!
