This is our FAVORITE spot in one of our most special areas in the Arts District downtown! The food is unlike any you have ever had with atmosphere to match. Run by a famous local chef who creates masterpieces and is just genuinely a great guy! You can park and walk around downtown for lots of surrounding entertainment as well! Walk up wait times are typically 30-45 mins, so either plan ahead or plan to walk around or checkout the famous HUGE antiqure store accross the street! They do take reservations so if you're interested go ahead and book one 2-3 months out. It's worth planning that far ahead, or playing tourist while you wait for a table...Trust the chef.
From their website: Sparrow + Wolf is where Chef Brian Howard’s artistic vision shines — a place where culinary experiences are ever-evolving yet always rooted in warmth and intention. America’s rich tapestry of flavors is reflected in a menu shaped by classical training, enriched by a genuine appreciation of cultures and cuisines from across the globe, and by the personal Midwestern heritage of Chef Brian. Our approach is rooted in a simple philosophy: marry time-honored traditions with contemporary innovation. We take pride in our award-winning menu, ensuring that every ingredient tells a story of seasonality, sustainability and unparalleled quality. The journey of our cocktails begins in the kitchen, where small batch spirits and fresh cold-pressed juices merge in artfully crafted vessels, all created with an abundance of love. From Us: Unique experience, food and cocktails. Hidden gem of culinary excellence...
"Roy Choi’s Best Friend is an indelible mash-up of bodega, bar and restaurant, serving Chef Roy’s greatest hits and more from his famous LA food truck, Kogi to his restaurants and other ventures." Off ot the strip at Park MGM. This is such a fun environment with even more amazing food / drink. Super cute entry looks like a bodega! This is another one that requires reservation well in advance, so prepare accordingly!
Sapporo Revolving Sushi is a fun and unique dining experience where plates of freshly made sushi travel around the restaurant on a conveyor belt, allowing guests to pick their favorites as they pass by. Located in Las Vegas, it offers a wide variety of sushi rolls, nigiri, and small plates, making it an exciting and interactive way to enjoy a meal. The modern atmosphere and extensive menu ensure that there's something for everyone, from sushi lovers to those trying it for the first time. There are a few locations in town, but we prefer the real deal in the heart of China Town.
Pizza / Punk Rock bar but first and foremost PIZZZA to die for! This is a walk up in downtown Las Vegas right outside of the Freemont Street Canopy. I recommend the "Gang Green" and the atmosphere! Stop in for a slice, or stay for a show outback.
This one is a bit more obscure, but somewhere we stumbled into on a waiters recomendation and fell in love.... This is within walking distance of anything in the Arts District Downtown. This is a dive bar in it's purest form. Everything served is canned. It's owned by an awesome couple who inquisitioned the area nextdoor to expand into what The Silver Stamp is today. Great drinks, environment and enough old Vegas / Bar memorabilia to fill a museum. From the outside, you would not even know it is there...so follow your map ;)
This is truly one of those places you have to see to believe. AREA15 is a must-see immersive entertainment district located a few minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. It has food, bars, art, entertainment and fun for ALL. You could spend an entire day just in the main part but we also highly recommend checking out OMEGA Mart a Meow Wolf interactive exhibit where you can get lost in the "back rooms" of the trippiest grocery store you have ever stumbeled into....
The Arts District in Downtown Las Vegas is a vibrant area known for its eclectic mix of galleries, street art, and unique shops. Visitors can explore local art, enjoy craft cocktails at trendy bars, and savor diverse cuisines at charming restaurants. With its lively atmosphere and regular events like the First Friday arts festival, it's a great place to experience the creative side of Las Vegas. Adjoining Down Town Las Vegas & The Arts District (Esther's Kitchen / Silver Stamp) is Fremont Street. It is a lively hub of entertainment, featuring the famous Fremont Street Experience with its dazzling LED canopy and free nightly light shows. Visitors can enjoy live music, street performers, and a variety of bars and casinos that capture the classic Las Vegas vibe. It's a must-see spot for those looking to experience the energy and history of Downtown Las Vegas.
The High Roller at The LINQ is the world's tallest observation wheel, offering breathtaking 360-degree views of the Las Vegas Strip and beyond. A ride on this iconic attraction is a perfect way to take in the city, especially during sunset or at night when the Strip is lit up. Though I, Shannon, may be a bit too disturbed by heights to enjoy this one, I know many people do and I have done it....begrudgingly...once.... Surrounding the High Roller is the lively LINQ Promenade, a bustling outdoor shopping and entertainment district featuring an array of restaurants, bars, and shops. With its vibrant atmosphere, the Promenade is a great spot to grab a bite, catch a show, or simply stroll and take in the sights. Stop into The Brooklyn Bowl for some bowling, drinks and food! or checkout their lineup for some great artists!
This is a spot near and dear to our hearts. An industry hangout to boot and just the most incredible food and cocktails. Step through the door and into an entire VIBE! Their happy hour specials are on drinks and MEAT! Insanely good food we can stand behind as one of my best friend's family owns it!
