Taylor’s POV I started working at Claws & Paws Pet Shop in June of 2020 where I met Luke. We worked together until August of 2021, when I had to stop working there due to school. I thought that would be the end of my friendship with Luke. But, in May of 2022, I went to the pet shop as usual. Although this time, I had a different reason for going. I informed my former boss, Dan, that I wanted Luke to ask me on a date and I needed him to pass on that information. After not hearing from Luke, I finally got the nerve to text Luke myself and we ended up running into each other at the pet store that same evening. It was there that we finally arranged our first date for that coming Sunday, May 15, at Chilis. Luke’s POV I started working at Claws & Paws pet shop in the Summer of 2018. I had met Taylor when she came in with her mom to get Wally supplies and crickets, typically on Sundays. Then my boss, Dan, let me know he would be hiring her, which I expressed would not be conducive to my fish focus at work. After realizing I was right, I spent the next couple years gaining an invaluable friend with impeccable baked goods. I knew when she left the pet shop to focus on school that I needed to remain in contact. I remained working at the pet shop and always looked forward to the days she would come in. When the timing was right, we started getting in contact and met at the pet shop using Dan as a mediator to plan our first date at Chilis.

On March 24, 2024, Luke and I were enjoying a casual weekend at home. After a trip to the plant store the day before, we had a few plants that needed potted. Despite the fact that it was raining, he asked me to help pot the plants on the patio outside. After potting the plants, and getting my hands incredibly dirty, Luke took my hands and got down on one knee. I, of course, was completely shocked. It couldn’t have been a more perfect, intimate proposal. And it was all captured on the back door ring camera!
