FAQs

Question

Can I watch the livestream?

Answer

Yes! If you want to watch our livestream, check out our Facebook page for the wedding: https://www.facebook.com/Tracy-Johns-wedding-108009268092333

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! We will try to accommodate all our guests food allergies and specialty food requirements, but we can't plan for what we don't know. Please text, call, e-mail, snail mail (sorry, no fax) us anything we need to take into consideration.

Question

Why is the wedding ceremony and the reception at different places?!

Answer

We are choosing to celebrate our wedding with a traditional Catholic Mass and Matrimony blessing - this means we will be married physically in a Catholic Church and will celebrate at a different venue after.

Question

Wait, what is a Catholic Wedding Ceremony?

Answer

We are choosing to celebrate our wedding traditionally within the Catholic Church. It will be a full mass (a little over an hour, typically) with readings, songs, homily, and finally a wedding blessing. While you do not have to be Catholic to attend or celebrate with us, we do ask that you refrain from taking the Eucharist if you are not a Catholic in good standing. You may approach the priest during this point for a blessing, but please cross your arms over your chest to signify you are not taking the holy communion. If you have any questions, let us know or check out this basics to a Catholic Wedding link: https://www.weddingwire.com/wedding-ideas/catholic-wedding-ceremony

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

For our wedding ceremony: please err slightly on the conservative side. You are welcome to wear your reception clothing, but please be conscious and respectful of the Catholic Church (i.e. cover strapless tops with a shawl, no super short skirts). For our wedding reception: cocktail, please. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, slide on those flats and undo that button, we are here to celebrate!

Question

I have a question you haven't answered - how should I let you know?

Answer

You can call or text us directly - or send us an e-mail (JohnAndTracy21@gmail.com)! We will try to respond as soon as we can.
