Question

Why a camp wedding weekend?

Answer

As a couple we have an adventurous spirit and deep love for the outdoors, we also live for fun! When reflecting on our wedding, we wanted it to be an "experience" more than just one day. We hope to provide a unique, fun, and hopefully unforgettable weekend for all our guests, and we hope you will join us in this spirit!

Question

Can you share more details about the cabins?

Answer

The cabins are summer camp bunk-bed style. They have comfortable medium-firm mattresses and they are twin sized. Each cabin has showers/bathrooms, storage for clothes, and electricity. There is NO AC, but in the mountains the nights are cool and around 60 degrees. Linens, 2 blankets, and a pillow are provided (but feel free to bring any extra preferred sleep items). We encourage guests to move around the beds (if possible), mattresses, push together beds to make the space their own. We understand the cabins aren't luxe hotel rooms (thats the point), we encourage you to embrace the "rustic" experience and have fun!

Question

I'm staying in the cabins. How do I check in and pay for my stay?

Answer

When RSVP'ing please indicate if you would like to stay in the cabins. We will reserve them for you. Guests are able to Check-In to the property starting at 3pm on Friday. You will pay Forest Lake Camp directly on Friday for your stay. Cash, credit card or venmo is accepted (there is a 3% fee for card transactions). The fee for the cabin stay is $85/night per person, this includes all food and drink for the entire weekend.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your little ones, and also this weekend is for ages 13+. We understand this requires you to make childcare accomodations and sincerely appreciate your efforts to keep this wedding age appropriate.

Question

Can I bring my dog?

Answer

Yes, but Forest Lake staff do recommend that only dogs that are friendly with both people AND other dogs are allowed. There are dogs owned by the staff on the property, and so if you are worried about your dog with other dogs or around a lot of people, its best to leave them home.

Question

Do I have to worry about food?

Answer

No! Food is included in your stay at the property. Dinner is provided for on Friday during the Welcome BBQ, all 3 meals provided on Saturday, and Breakfast on Sunday. If you are staying at hotel you may join us for the welcome party and other meals, but please be aware you will need to drive to and from the property.

Question

What about wildlife and bugs?

Answer

You may see some wildlife like hawks, deer, squirrel, owls, other birds, etc. and yes there will most likely be bugs outside. Guests staying at the cabins will receive a "camp survival kit" to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Question

What do I pack?

Answer

A packing list was provided to you in your invitation, if you have any questions please contact the bride and groom.
