Things To Do

Boston

Boston, MA

• Check out Boston's Freedom Trail, a 2.5-mile route through 16 historical sites like the Massachusetts State House, Old North Church, and Paul Revere’s House. • Head to North End for Boston's best Italian restaurants and bakeries. • Explore Beacon Hill, one of Boston's oldest and most picturesque neighborhoods with cobblestone streets, brick row houses, and great shopping.

Salem

Salem, MA

• Salem is world-famous for its Halloween celebrations. Check out a ghost tour, visit the Witch Museum, or shop for magical souvenirs. We visited in October early on in our relationship and had a blast. • Visit the Peabody Essex Museum for art and local history.

Newburyport

Newburyport, MA

• Newburyport offers a quaint New England coastal experience. Stroll along the Merrimack River waterfront and enjoy the local shops, art galleries, and cafes in the historic downtown area. • Nearby Maudslay State Park is a nice spot to see fall colors and historic gardens.

Fall foliage

• Check out the Coastal Byway scenic drive for all the best leaf peeping, historical sites, and period architecture across the North Shore of Massachusetts. • Take a day trip to the White Mountains or the Berkshires to experience New England's beautiful fall foliage. These areas offer scenic drives, hiking trails, and mountain views during peak fall colors.
