Travel to Santa Marta, Colombia

We’re so excited to celebrate in beautiful Santa Marta! Because Santa Marta is a smaller coastal city, most guests will take two flights to get there. Step 1: Fly from the U.S. to Colombia Most international flights arrive at El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá. Step 2: Take a short flight to Santa Marta From Bogotá, you’ll take a domestic flight (about 1.5 hours) to Simón Bolívar International Airport in Santa Marta. Several airlines operate this route, including Avianca, LATAM Airlines, and JetSMART. Typical Travel Route Most guests will follow a route like this: U.S. City → Bogotá → Santa Marta Total travel time is typically 8–12 hours depending on connections. Travel Tips Try to arrive in Santa Marta earlier in the day in case of delays. Booking both flights on the same ticket is usually easiest.
