Dana Holroyd

Bridesmaid

"DaneDar" have been together since they were 7 years old. In town, their names were synonymous for many years. They grew up a block apart; it makes more sense to call them sisters. They slept in the same beds, shared a secret language, taught each other how to read, swim, bike and talk to boys. During Saturday AM cartoons they would eat pop-tarts with butter on top. Over the years they were each others' support, the ear you wanted most when you needed one. They always teamed up to avoid the worst possible outcome of the night, whatever their shenanigan was that eve, usually ending in a gaggle of laughter. But most importantly, Dana has always believed in Daryl - knows her soul, helps her dive deep into her most artistic, truest self and has believed in her from day one.

Haley Cannon

Bridesmaid

"Sarcastababe" is what Daryl's dad would nickname her in 1997. It didn't take a long look at this little girl to know she was strong and outspoken. She has equal parts tenderness and bite. Dar and Hale also lived a block away from each other and formed a strong friendship at an early age. Daryl was amazed at the finesse she exhibited while annihilating Super Nintendo bosses. They spent lots of Sundays like that. Haley was the cool kid. She knew all the best scary movies and taught her the "phrases and terms" of social life. (She still knows the right ones) Together there was never a goofier duo. As adults, Daryl admires Haley's tremendous and deep sense of empathy and selfless work with kids. She also has impeccable style and is an excellent plant mom. Their deep bonds are impermeable!

Amanda Hoke

Bridesmaid

Amanda and Daryl met just a few years ago in the lovely city of New Orleans. Neither of them lived there. As a group, Amanda and her partner traveled alongside John and Daryl while nursing. Nowhere they spent time together was home until very recently. However, from the beginning, Daryl felt at home immediately in Amanda's presence. Amanda's ability to connect with a person is unlike any other - fully vulnerable, the best listener and the best cheerleader. She's always been a great accountability buddy even when she disliked the cross-fit classes we signed up for. She has the attitude of a thousand morning-people and it's honestly something we all vie for - she is up and ready for any adventure whether it be a jaunt through skid-row in downtown LA or a weekend away in Napa Valley.

Andrew Oliver

Bridesman

Since at least 9th grade, Andrew has always been Daryl's dashing, and adored other half. They both began using the internet to share their obscure music, movie and other pop culture discoveries with their friends. In a small town, something as niche as that gave us such a thrilling connection. We thought we were the coolest, and looking back, we really were. Andrew has always had a great grasp on politics and history which is something Daryl consults him about often. Andrew moved to LA after graduation. Daryl drifted in and out of LA, but most recently in 2019. That was the best one - he got to know John and babysit the cat. He was a great lunch date and hiking buddy. To Daryl, there is not a Los Angeles without an Andy. However no matter what city they're in, they will always be friends.

Elizabeth Garriss

Bridesmaid

John's sister, Liz has been supportive and loving of our relationship from the very start! As soon as we met, we began calling each other "sisters" and have always had so much fun together. Just as our paths are similar, our values and passions parallel. We find joy in utilizing healthy ways to live. Liz is one of the most wholesome people we know and we admire her giving, helping spirit. Not to mention her admiration for the arts and her incredible vocal talent. This day would not be complete without her!

Naomi Holcomb

Bridesmaid

Naomi is Daryl's cousin on mom's side. We share a bond unlike any other - our hearts explode over the stories we grew up hearing about our grandparents and our huge, crazy family. Hopefully during the wedding, someone will regale the story of Sasquatch, and you will see our eyes begin to sparkle. Naomi and Daryl have about a million inside jokes. Naomi has such a gleaming soul and has always been the best listener over the years. She will always take time out of her day to try to listen to your problems and offer calm, thoughtful solutions. She is constantly filling her family and friends with hope, love, and the permission that we can believe in ourselves. We are so honored that she is a part of this day.

Haley Edwin

Bridesmaid

Cousin on dad's side. The relationship of cousins is so special, so I had to pick one from each side. Daryl and Haley have been so close since they were about 11. Tudi (grandma) would take me down to Texas to visit in the summers. Over those long drives she'd tell me stories, and just as I got to know my grandmother better, I got to know Haley better. When Haley and their family moved to Arkansas, it was so exciting. Over the years, we have shared so much - meals, breakups, clothes, makeup, deodorant....There is absolutely nothing that I wouldn't feel comfortable sharing with Haley Edwin. She is the best friend anyone could be blessed with, and her heart is pure gold.
