Ella joined her friend to a East Ridge Varsity Football game in September 2018 and John Christian was part of her friend group!

At Woodbury 10 we saw the movie Crazy Rich Asians on October 5, 2018!

We went to different high schools within the same district. We both ran cross country and often raced at the same events. We went to both proms together and many other dances.

Ella went to St. Kate's for nursing and child advocacy studies. John Christian started at St. Thomas and ended up at University of Minnesota Duluth for mechanical engineering.

Ella joined John Christian in Duluth for a short time after she graduated and took a job as a critical care nurse at St. Luke's Hospital and he finished up his degree. We loved being close to Lake Superior and our favorite State Parks. Ella ended up moving back down to the cities to accept a job as a neonatal nurse.

John Christian proposed at Gooseberry Falls State Park on the Picnic Flow - an area of picnic tables built by the CCC in 1933 on hardened lava rock along the shore of Lake Superior.
