We first met through InterVarsity (a Christian Fellowship Club) at a joint campus celebration in December 2023. Amid laughter, gingerbread houses, and easy banter, I knew I wanted to be near her. Though we didn’t exchange contact information, we thought of each other until we met again that summer. When I chose to pursue ministry and transfer to CSUCI, I was reminded this was where she was. From there, friendship grew—and the rest is history.
After that Christmas party, I didn’t think much of our interaction.. yet he would quietly come to mind from time to time. Six months later, without realizing it, God began weaving the pieces together. I went on a mini mission trip with InterVarsity, and it just so happened that my friend and I carpooled with Jonathan’s best friends. Soon after, a group trip to Six Flags brought us back together, where we reconnected and shared fun and meaningful conversations while waiting in lines for the rides. Looking back on even the littlest details of our story, it’s clear that what felt like coincidence was really God’s providence.
