We unfortunately cannot accommodate additional guests. Due to a limited capacity, we can only allow the people named on the invitation. Your invitation will be made to "{Your Name} & Guest" if a plus one has been given to you.
Due to limited capacity, we hope you appreciate that children are only invited if named. If your invitation is made out to "The {Your Last Name} Family" then your children have been invited. If only you or your significant other have been named such as "{Mr. & Mrs. Names}", then only you and or that person has been invited.
This will be a black-tie event. Cocktail attire is allowed. This means that we are asking that you only wear black. Short length or floor-length dresses are both fine. *Disclaimer: White could only be used as an accent (ex: a men's white button up, a women's white necklace/heels) white should not be the primary color or full color of the attire.
In regard to the ceremony, we are choosing to go unplugged. No phones allowed, or cameras. We will have a photographer so if you'd like pictures of the event please feel free to ask us for them. During the reception, feel free to use your phones, we just ask that you limit your usage because it’s one day that we just want you to enjoy with us. Overall we just ask you to remain present, as you are all special to us and we chose to spend our special day with each and every one of you. If you need to take a call, please step outside.
Parking and Transportation Information for The Evergreen The Evergreen is located in a downtown/urban area, and parking can sometimes be limited. If you plan on driving, please allow extra time to find parking and arrive at the venue. Parking Options Pay-to-Park Lots (all within walking distance): Corner of SE Alder and SE 6th (this is the closest) SE 6th Avenue, between SE Morrison and SE Belmont SE 8th Avenue, between SE Morrison and SE Belmont Street Parking: Street parking is also available in the area. For convenience, we recommend downloading the "Parking Kitty" app if your event is Monday-Friday, which allows you to pay for parking remotely and extend your time as needed throughout the day. Alternative Transportation If it’s more convenient, we encourage using rideshare services like Uber or Lyft, or arranging a drop-off to avoid parking altogether. Additionally, The Evergreen is accessible via public transportation, including both the bus line and the streetcar line.
We would really appreciate a phones-free, unplugged ceremony. It should only be about a 30-35 minute ceremony, and we just ask that you take in the moment with us. During the reception we would love to spend time with as many of you, and would love for those who use their phones to limit their usage or go outside to use their phones if they need to take a call. In regard to kids, we would appreciate if you could have them seated or supervising them if they are wandering (there will be floral elements we would like respected). Overall we are really aspiring for a wedding in which we could spend time to remember.
