Come Enjoy the Lakeside Breeze As We Tie the Knot

It was no surprise to anyone that John and I met in high school and instantly became close friends, however we did not start dating until we embarked on our separate journeys to college! Destined to be together but always apart, he attended the University at Buffalo in Upstate NY while I was enrolled at CUNY Hunter College in the City. To make things more difficult (because who doesn't enjoy a good challenge) I was going abroad nearly every summer for my studies while he enlisted in the naval reserves, which occupied most of his free time outside of school. I spent my senior year abroad in China with John eagerly awaiting my return only to find out that he would be deploying just over six months after I came back to the States. On New Years Eve before he left, this man decides to take me out onto the frozen lake where we had our first date (the photo on the home screen is of that date, FYI) and asks me to marry him! What little time we could afford to spend together during our college years up to now sprouted a miraculous romance which blossomed into the most extraordinary life that he and I share together, today. I cannot wait for him to come home and for all of us to celebrate his return and our marriage!
