Christian is the bride’s Maid of Honor and has been her friend since early high school. They met in high school marching band and they have remained best friends through college and into their early adult lives. At Westminster College, Christian received a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. He is currently the K-5 Music Teacher at Trinity Area as well as the Assistant Director of the high school marching band.

Best Man
Hello there. I’m Justin. Brother-in-law, wedding party member, and co-owner of a single shared brain cell with John — we've never both had it at the same time, and we've made peace with that. Mama says "happiness is from magic rays of sunshine that come down when you're feeling blue" — and that's exactly what John found in Sydney. I'm equal parts sarcastic and supportive, and I couldn't be happier to see him marry his person. Just don't ask either of us to make an important decision on the same day.

Bridesmaid
Brooke is one of the bridesmaids and has been friends with the bride since their sophomore year of college. Brooke had introduced the bride to her other 2 bridesmaids Amanda and Johnna and they have all been a girl squad ever since. She is currently a Speech- Language Pathologist and works with the Belle Vernon colorguard. Brooke will also be welcoming her first child a few months before the wedding and we are so excited to meet him or her!!
Amanda Sciore
Bridesmaid
Amanda is one of the bridesmaids and has been friends with the bride since college. Sydney and Amanda met through bridesmaid Brooke and they have all been friends since. Amanda is currently living her dream working for Disney on their cruise ships. She can’t wait to come home from Florida to celebrate with everyone!
Johnna Seliga
Bridesmaid
Johnna is one of the bridesmaids and has been friends with the bride since college. Johnna and Sydney met through bridesmaid Brooke and have remained friends for about 8 years. Johnna is a Pre- K teacher currently and a mom to Penelope Jane (Poppy). Johnna and Poppy are so excited to both be a part of Sydney and John’s big day.

I’m Janice—the groom’s older sister, which means I’ve known him long enough to have stories I’ve generously chosen not to share here. Being eight years apart, we didn’t grow up particularly close—but as adults we’ve built a friendship rooted in sarcasm, dark humor, and the occasional dead dad joke. My husband has also become one of my brother’s best friends, so at this point I’m basically just here for logistical support. In my free time, I lean into my “old lady” hobbies and do my best to offer thoughtful advice. I am extremely happy to see my brother with someone who complements him so well, makes him truly happy, and who fits into all of this chaos so perfectly.

Penelope (or Poppy) is the newest addition to the brides girl squad. She will be almost 2 at the wedding and she is very excited to participate in her Aunt Sydney’s big day. She’s very adventurous and already loves going to Disney to visit her Aunt Amanda. She is also so excited to meet her little cousin when Aunt Brooke has her baby this year!

Meet our sweet niece, Moira, who is so excited to celebrate her uncle’s big day! She loves all things fun and creative, and you can usually find her drawing, playing, or making everyone around her smile. She’s especially thrilled to be part of the wedding and can’t wait to sprinkle a little extra joy down the aisle.

Our adorable nephew, Christian, is 2 years old and already stealing hearts wherever he goes. He loves exploring, playing, and keeping everyone on their toes. He’s excited to be part of his uncle’s special day—especially if snacks are involved!

Justina is John’s oldest sister and honored to stand by his side on his wedding day. As the oldest of four, with John as the only brother, she’s had a front-row seat to his life from day one. Over the years, their sibling bond has grown into a friendship she deeply values, and she is so proud of the man he has become. She is so happy to know her favorite brother is marrying someone who brings out the very best in him, and is happy to have Sydney as part of the family.

I’m the little (and favorite) sister of the groom, and we’ve been best friends for as long as I can remember—even if I rarely call him by his actual name. I’m usually the goofy, sarcastic one in the room, but I’m incredibly proud of him and so excited to celebrate this next chapter. When I’m not teasing my brother, you can usually find me listening to music, taking photos, or out on the golf course trying to convince myself my swing is improving. I had the privilege of taking some engagement photos for John and Sydney. I say it’s a privilege because I got to see just how special their connection is, and how the look in their eyes shows how much they truly love each other. That is a very special memory to have as it showed me the kind of love everyone should experience in their life. Enough serious talk…let’s get these two married!
