Our Story

Written By Matron of Honor Summer Brown

In the Bible, the number 11 carries messages of divine intervention and powerful transformations. It's a reminder to trust in God's plan and to be receptive to the spiritual lessons in your life. It’s been eleven years since Trey and Storm parted ways from Windsor Academy where they met in high school. It was the number 11 that they bonded over as both of them wore number 11 on their jerseys, living and breathing sports throughout their days as a Windsor Knight…..and now, it will be on the 11th of January where they will live and breathe a different commitment, a more powerful one before God and to each other: to have and to hold forever. They were each other’s biggest support through their high school days, never dating, but joking how maybe one day they would…even going as far as Trey making Storm a shirt that said “Trey’s wifey!” Little did they know, that in those eleven years, God would do exactly what the number eleven represents: using that time to transform and spiritually awaken their growth and love for God FIRST, so that they could grow together and truly love each other in the way God intended. It took those spiritual lessons in prayers of patience, independently building beliefs , and learning to anchor in His faithfulness that led them to today. Trusting in His timing, now they get to marry their best friend. Bringing out the best in each other: Trey bringing out the softer side in Storm by affectionately calling her by her middle name, Lynley, reminding her that he sees past her bold exterior to the loyal loving, biscuit-making, tomato-growing, home-making woman of many talents. Storm bringing out the spicy side in Trey: cheering him on not only from the stands of the softball field, the paintball tournament, or from the inside of the boat as he catches her favorite catfish, but also cheering him on to be the leader she sees in him as he is appointed as the head of their new vows, commitment, and future family. Their prom date was a simple foreshadowing to what awaited them at the end of the eleven year chapter. They say if it’s true, it will come back to you! Thank You Lord for reuniting these two best friends to be forever husband and wife: Mr. and Mrs. Morse!
