We’re getting married!!!

After nearly ten years of being best friends and six years of building a life and love together, Newport already held a special place in our hearts. It felt only right to visit one of our favorite spots at the start of October—our favorite season—when the air is crisp, the views are golden, and everything feels a little more magical. During a walk along the Cliff Walk, we climbed down to a small, quiet rocky nook by the water. Sanya, true to form, immediately wanted to dip her toes in the ocean (and, naturally, may have mentioned turning into a mermaid). When she turned back around, John was already down on one knee. Completely stunned, Sanya blurted out, “Is this real?” John laughed, smiled up at her, and said, “Yes, this is real.” In that perfect little moment—waves rolling in, fall breeze all around us—our next chapter began. 💙
