What is the dress code?

Welcome Drinks: smart casual, Ceremony/Reception: black tie optional, and Farewell Brunch: athleisure, comfortable.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held indoors and reception will be held outdoors.

Is there parking at the ceremony and reception?

Answer

There is plenty of parking at the church with a lot to the west and north in addition to street parking. Parking at the reception is limited with roughly 50 spaces. While there is plenty of parking around the church, if you are staying at one of the hotels where we have room blocks, we recommend walking to the church. See FAQs below regarding provided transportation.

Is transportation provided for the reception?

Answer

Guests are encouraged to take a Uber, Lyft, or taxi to Salisbury House. Transportation is provided from the reception to Downtown Des Moines. Below is the tentative schedule: Pick up at Salisbury: 8:30pm, Drop off at Hotel Fort Des Moines Pick up at Salisbury: 9:15pm, Drop off at Hotel Fort Des Moines Pick up at Salisbury: 10:00pm, Drop off in Downtown Des Moines
