If you plan to get a rental car at SFO Airport please expect to wait at least 1-2 hours in line. Budget Car Rental is usually the busiest one.

If planning to travel with the rail system once at San Francisco please be prepared to pay per one way trip. They DO NOT have an all day pass so just keep that in mind. If not going by your own car or rental car then this would be an alternative to getting around. Of course some walking will be required.

If you are planning to fly in and choose not to get a car rental nor travel on the MUNI (Metro) system then getting a ride share would be an alternative. Uber, Lyft, and Waymo operate regularly in the city. I recommend Waymo because it’s cheaper than Uber or Lyft though some places to go with Waymo is limited.

When choosing a hotel to stay nearby in please take into account that the ceremony and the reception will be 30 miles (45mins) apart. If you prefer to stay closer to the airport then a place near city hall (where the ceremony will be held) would be the best option.
