Yes! We have careful considered every possible route, and ultimately feel that 2020 still needs to have some love and in these times, even postponing is uncertain. While we are looking forward to tying the knot, we sadly recognize that the ongoing pandemic will be a hindrance to many of our guests who would normally love to celebrate with us but do not feel safe in doing so. We are exploring options for how to include those guests - like live streaming our ceremony so you can still join in. We also remind guests that October is the off-season on Topsail Island, so if you do feel comfortable making a trip to the beach, you may consider joining us for the ceremony but not the reception! Just let us know on your RSVP card, and we will keep you updated.
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.
Yes! There is plenty of parking at the church and reception venue. We will also help arrange taxi/bus/shuttle (TBD) home at the end of the night for those who may choose to leave a car overnight.
We recommend that you arrive up to an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get started as scheduled!
After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby. Guests can head straight to the reception hall where we will be serving finger foods and beverages.
We love your kiddies but our reception will be adults only. Since our celebration will be at the beach, you are welcome to bring children for a vacation and we can help arrange babysitters as needed!
We want everyone to feel safe and able to comfortably enjoy the celebration, and recognize this is a sensitive issue. For the ceremony, social distancing will be possible with plenty of seating. For the reception, we will be around 50% capacity with plenty of space to distance as needed, families will be seated together, and there will be hand sanitizer and masks available. We do ask that all of our guests planning to attend exercise caution in the week or two leading up to the event and while traveling in, in a joint effort to protect each other as we come together in celebration!
