John surprised McKenna on a cool fall day at the LuceLine Apple Orchard in Watertown, MN. It was a planned "date day" after many weeks of busy work schedules, traveling and all of the fun activities that come with the fall season in Minnesota. McKenna had been wanting to get to an apple orchard and drink a warm spiked apple cider. During the 30 minute drive, John commented on how pretty the trees were....maaaybe one too many times. McKenna got a slight suspicion something was up. They arrived with their dog Finnegan and grabbed a drink before exploring the orchard, (Maggie chose to stay home due to her aversion to strangers). After visiting the horses, cows and goats, they began walking the trail through the wooded area. Pausing to take in the view and enjoying the time together, John proposed with a beautiful ring passed down from his grandma, Virginia. Who knew a beautiful fall day in Minnesota would lead to the rest of their lives together.
