Question
Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
There are large gravel parking lots for both the ceremony (the overlook) and reception (picnic/homestead area), and as it is the "off season" we hope to have the park largely to ourselves! Both are only a very short walk to the sites. Buzzard overlook ceremony starts at 4pm Homestead area reception to follow immediately
Question
Is there a dress code? What about weather?
Answer
We will be dressed our best, but you may wear what you'd like and get fancy. I would advise not to wear high heels. Please be reminded to keep an eye on the forecast, as this is an outdoor wedding at high elevations. We may have to bundle once the sun sets. Also, we advise to bring a pair of comfortable shoes if you plan to explore any one of the multiple areas available to us. Please keep the possibility of rain in mind. The reception area is covered, and if rain is in the forecast we will either bump the ceremony up or back in time. UPDATE: We have heaters for reception!! Thanks to the father of the bride.

Are you climbing or camping?
Answer
Yes! We plan on trying to climb the morning after the wedding, but come to Grayson as early as you'd like and get some climbing in before. Call or go online and reserve a campsite if you plan on staying overnight with us. https://www.reserveamerica.com/explore/grayson-highlands-state-park/VA/140172/overview ORCALL 1-800-933-PARK As of writing this, there was only one yurt available and we snagged it. You may contact the park and reseve a Back pack campers spot.
Question
Is there a rehearsal dinner?
Answer
No official dinner is organized. If anyone would like to travel to Bristol the night before (Friday, October 18th) a casual dinner and drinks can be planned. Nothing fancy, but we're celebrating all weekend.

How is the cell service?
Answer
Short answer: It's very terrible or nonexistent. The ranger station at the front of the park usually will have enough to send a text or place a call through, and there may be other places scattered through the park depending on provider.
