FAQs

The Wedding Website of John DeMoully and Makéla Hughes
Question

Where will the weekend events take place?

Answer

Everything will be taking place at Timber Cove Resorts. We will be the only guests staying at the venue and the property is small, so it should be easy to find your way around. We are still finalizing where on the property each event will take place - head over to the schedule for the latest details!

Question

Where am I staying? When do I need to book my hotel?

Answer

No -- We have arranged accommodations for all guests -- once you RSVP we will provide you with your room assignment. The majority of people will be staying on site at the resort.

Question

How should I get to Timber Cove?

Answer

Since the venue is a bit remote, the best way to reach Timber cove will be in a car. We recommend picking up a rental car at the airport if you are flying in.

Question

Will events be inside or outside?

Answer

Most of the events will have some indoor and outdoor spaces including heat lamps for evenings when things get chilly. Plan on packing some extra layers to enjoy sunset, s'mores by the fire-pits, early morning walks down to the bluffs, and dinner outside. We do have plenty of space inside in case things get rainy.

Question

What's the weather like at Timber Cove?

Answer

Weather averages are highs around 70 with lows around 50. We are going to be very close to the water so it could be chilly, especially at night. Since it is a coastal climate, we recommend bringing some warm clothes so you are prepared.

Question

Where can I grab a bite to eat?

Answer

If you don't want to leave the property, the Timber Cove restaurant and kitchen will be open for all meals. If you are looking for somewhere nearby to grab snacks, a sandwich, or beer/wine, you can head to the Fort Ross Store, just a minute down the road. Want to venture into the town of Jenner (about 25 minutes away)? We recommend grabbing a laid back breakfast or lunch at Cafe Aquatica.

Question

We are planning on extending our trip before or after the wedding, where should we go?

Answer

Northern California has so much to offer, you could stay for weeks and still not hit everything within driving distance. Napa and Sonoma are known for their vineyards and you will find a ton of options all over. Other great towns to check out in the area are Guerneville, Sea Ranch, Pt Reyes Station + more. Those who are interested in camping and hiking will have endless options all up and down the Sonoma Coast. We also recommend checking out San Francisco on your way in or out.

For all the days along the way
