Cartagena's Airport

Cartagena's main airport, Rafael Núñez Airport (CTG), is roughly five miles from the wedding venue Club Naval, and Hilton Hotel. It is a small airport that has direct flights from New York-JFK (JetBlue, Avianca), Miami (American Airlines, Avianca), and other foreign cities. We recommend using Google Flights or Kayak.com and choosing flights with as few stops as possible.

Hilton Cartagena Hotel

This is where we'll be staying at least Friday and Saturday night. It is one mile from the wedding venue. We stayed here during our March visit and it's a very modern, clean hotel with three outdoor pools and a private beach. Much of the staff speak English. https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/ctghihh-hilton-cartagena-hotel/ A block of rooms for Friday December 8th and/or Saturday December 9th has been reserved at a discounted rate of ~$150 per night for a two person room or ~$180 for an executive two person room (prices fluctuate with USD/COP exchange rate). The block is for Ocean Facing Rooms with a King Size bed, and includes breakfast. Roll away beds available upon request. When calling you may be transferred directly to the Hilton Cartagena hotel, or a phone rep. with poor English, but you should be able to book in English via the Reservations number above. Travel Note

GETTING TO THE HOTEL

There're plenty of taxis lined up outside the airport (it should cost about $20,000 - 25,000 COP * $7-10 US dollars*. Confirm this with your driver in advance). Pay in cash COP. We recommend you to download the Indriver app to your phone, is the equivalent to Uber in Colombia, You arrange the price before taking your ride, the drivers accept the ride if they consider its a fair rate, like Taxis you pay in cash. Colombian pesos Alternatively, you can organize transportation in advance through Gema Tours. You can always reach out to your local bank back at home ( most of the banks in the States have other countries currencies.)
