Maid of Honor
I only lived 3 years before Libby came into the picture, and she's been making life better ever since. Libby is one third of the Blaeser sisters and we are truly inseparable. Despite being a non-New Orleanian, Libby has been a integral part of the planning process and the best maid of honor ever (a title shared by fellow maid of honor/ fellow Blaeser sister, Sam Blaeser). I remember singing the "I Love My Sister" song from Barney with her when we were teeny, a song we'll sing together well into our golden years. My life wouldn't be the same without her.
Maid of Honor
Sam on the other hand arrived when I was 7 and a half years old, and completed the trio of sisters. Sam and I enjoy watching Love and Hip Hop together and Facetiming Libby for daily sister chats. Sam's artistic eye and practicality made her a maid of honor dream come true. She's always there to help me figure out how to work Instagram and understand internet humor (ex. "memes"). Like Libby, I couldn't imagine my life without my baby sister Sam.
Bridesmaid
Besides my sisters, Amy is my oldest friend. We met at Vanderlyn Elementary and have been friends since (21 years to be exact!). Amy has a huge heart and I always associates her with her high school yearbook quote, "Follow Your Bliss." It's a great way to live life with joy and positivity-- just like Amy!
Bridesmaid
Chloè and I met at the University of Georgia when I was a freshman and she was a sophomore, and I was instantly taken by her kindness. We were roommates a little later in college and have remained friends despite her fabulous travels all over the world. When I think of Chloè I think of genuineness and beauty, music and fun.
Bridesmaid
I have JoAnna to thank for one of the most beautiful, rewarding parts of my life, my stepson Adrian. She's his mom! JoAnna is one of the classiest women I know, and I'm honored to be able to co-parent with such a strong, sweet woman. JoAnna has been a true friend to me and even helped out in Johnny's plan for my proposal!
Bridesmaid
Joyce is my Louisiana sister-from- another- mister. Like Johnny, I also met Joyce when we were both servers, and we've been through thick and thin. Joyce was my first true friend in New Orleans and I wouldn't be who I am today without her. Joyce and I like to eat cheese and sing show tunes together, and if that's not a perfect friendship, I don't know what is.
Bridesmaid
Katie and I met when we were both wee freshmen at UGA and she is the Tina to my Amy. We led our college improv troupe to regional victory at the College Improv Tournament, a win we will tout until we die. Katie's a wonderful person and I'm so lucky to call her my friend. We once performed a sketch while both wearing one foot each of a pair of pantyhose over our faces, forever linking us on stage wearing hosiery and in life.
Bridesmaid
Nay and I also met at UGA, and were roommates for two years, watching countless episodes of Sex and the City, Titanic, and Gossip Girl. Nay is one of the most fun and compassionate people I know. She can belt out any Beyoncè song and probably do the accompanying choreography too!
Bridesmaid
Paige is an amazing friend I also met while dressing up as other people at UGA. Paige and I share a love of kitties, fashion, and Mardi Gras! She's wonderful and great at talking to people, and I fondly think back on her own wedding I had the pleasure of attending.
Bridesmaid
Spencer is a true ride or die friend. We've been friends since college and I wouldn't have the knowledge, awareness and fashion sense I have now if it weren't for Spencer. From snacking on leg plates to phone dates that span from Chicago to New Orleans, Spencer is one of the coolest and most trustworthy people in my life.
