It was the first day of senior year at Great Valley High School, and we both walked into calculus class and greeted one another after being away for the summer, not thinking much of it. As time went on, we became better and better friends and eventually started dating in December 2016. As senior year came to an end, Jack was heading to West Chester University to pursue Nursing and Maddie was going to Penn State to study Supply Chain. We decided to stay together and do long distance throughout college, visiting one another as much as possible. Jack would visit Maddie for Penn State Football games, and Maddie would travel to West Chester, especially during COVID as all of our courses were online. Not going to school together truly allowed us to experience two great colleges and make the most of the time with friends. As college graduation approached, we both got jobs in the Philadelphia area and decided to move back home with Maddie's parents to save money. After about a year and a half of living at home and saving as much as possible, we started looking for homes to buy! We settled on Havertown, PA since many of Jack's extended family members live in Havertown, and officially moved in January of 2023. After moving to Havertown, Jack decided it was time to propose since we were now established on our own and we had been together for about 7.5 years. Jack got the ring on June 30th, 2023, and proposed on July 6th, 2023. Maddie's family has a vacation home in Lake Harmony, PA, and they have spent many summers on the lake and winters on the mountain skiing since we started dating, so Jack knew this was the perfect place to ask the question! Jack proposed at the Split Rock with all of our immediate family members there - it was perfect. Since getting engaged, we have also added a new member to our little family! We brought our sweet Golden Retriever, Winnie, home in September 2024, and she has been such an amazing blessing! Thank you to our family and friends for your love and support throughout our many years together.
