FAQs

If you have any other questions that are not answered below, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly!
Question

Does our wedding have a theme?

Answer

We're going for a rustic elegance theme but please don't worry too much! We're mostly excited to be around all of our family and closest friends on our big day!

Question

Is the wedding inside or outside?

Answer

The ceremony will be outside, on the back deck of the resort. The reception will take place inside the main lodge of the resort, so will the dancing afterward! There will be a canopy set up outside with an area to hang out, play games and be around the fire pit. You'll have access to this set up from the lodge, it'll be right outside the doors!

Question

Does the venue offer parking?

Answer

Yes, the venue will have parking available. If at all possible, carpooling with friends and/or family is recommended.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal attire. Or as formal as you'd like to get! We're a pretty casual bunch!

Question

If I do have an on-site cabin reserved, how do I go about paying for it?

Answer

Lisa or John will get in touch and let you know which cabin number has been reserved for you. Once you have that information, call Tsasdi Resort at 530--- and ask for Julie or Scott. Let them know you are one of the guests for our November 27th wedding and provide youf name(s) and the cabin number you were assigned. Scott and Julie (owners of the resort) will have a spreadsheet with all of our guest names and cabin assignments so they will be familiar with the process. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions! Please note: If you are sharing a cabin with others, I recommend one party pays for the cabin in full and work out the shared payments separately via venmo, cashapp, etc.

Question

What accommodations do the on-site cabins offer?

Answer

Each on-site cabin has it's own restrooms and beds. They also include small kitchenettes that include a fridge, stove, oven and microwave. Along with a coffee pot! Bring your own food, snacks and beverages! :)

Question

What time is check-in/out for the on-site cabins?

Answer

All cabins are reserved from Friday afternoon - Sunday morning. Check in on Friday begins at 3pm. You must check out of your cabin on Sunday by 11am.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, we have limited space available. If you are allotted a plus one, it will be noted on your RSVP card that was sent with your invite.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

In November, it can definitely get a bit chilly! I recommend bringing a jacket or extra layer just in case. In the event that it rains, there will be plenty of coverage to keep us dry!

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony will be a cocktail hour while pictures are being taken. Appetizers and beverages provided! Once pictures are complete - it's dinner time! Followed by dancing and fun!

Question

If my kids are coming, will there be things for them to do?

Answer

We will have a number of games that kids can play! Kids can also bring their bikes, scooters, skateboards because there will be room to ride around. We do ask that this not take place during the ceremony but other than that - let the kids play!

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

Yes, food and drinks will be served! Given that our big day is the Saturday after Thanksgiving, we're sticking with that theme so you may want to hold off on your turkey and mash potatoes and gravy cravings for an extra day or two. A Thanksgiving buffet will be served for dinner, with dessert of course!

Question

May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?

Answer

Please do not take any decor pieces home. They will be rented from a vendor and we must return them. Any flowers that you see - they're all yours!!

Question

If all items on the registry are purchased, what should I do? Or if I'm not particularly excited about any of the remaining items, what should I do?

Answer

If all items are already purchased, you can always donate to our Honeymoon fund or gift cards are always useful! Some ideas would be: amazon, at Home Depot, Barnes and Noble, Lowes and Dicks Sporting goods. In the event that none of the remaining items are something you'd like to gift us, here are some of our favorite hobbies that may lead you to a different idea! We love to camp, go backpacking and spend time outdoors! We will be working on a garden this next year and love to plant new things on our property! We enjoy golfing on the weekends, going out to breakfast and going to the movies!

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Take as many pictures as you'd like! We ask that you respect our wishes and wait until after the ceremony to post any pictures.

Question

I'm visiting from out of town. What can I do while I'm in town?

Answer

Please visit our "Things To Do" tab where you'll find a bunch of activities that you can do while here!

Question

If I purchased a gift from the registry, should I bring them to the wedding?

Answer

You are more than welcome to bring your gift to the venue! If you prefer to travel light(er), our registry offers the option to have items shipped directly to us.

Question

How do you prefer RSVPs be sent?

Answer

Please return the RSVP card that was sent with your invite. We provided everyone with a return envelope, already stamped. If time does not allow, you can text John or Lisa with your RSVP details. The sooner we receive RSVPs, the better!
