Reception location and time details are on the "Schedule" page above. John's summary: Little did we know when we met 14 years ago, way back in 2006, our paths would cross again ... Lea has lived in The Woodlands, TX, her whole life, and when I moved there in 1997 we were both single then, but we didn't meet. The short story is, we first met at a business event in 2006, after I had moved back to Virginia. We saw each other a couple other times after that. We became Facebook friends, but that was the end of our interaction then. Fast forward to this year: we re-connected on a dating app, LDS Planet, when I clicked on her profile that I liked her - but she didn't use her actual name, so I didn't know it was her. Three months later, she checked her app and saw my click, then contacted me, and we were off to the races. What I didn't know is that Lea had wanted to connect with me before our dating app meeting. (YAY!) It's truly been a fairy tale for both of us since then, with plane trips and numerous virtual dates, discovering we have so much in common that we MUST have been old friends, merely catching up after many years apart! In December 2020, I moved back to the Houston area, and we were married on Dec. 25 (Christmas afternoon)! We'll be sealed Saturday morning, July 17, 2021, in the Houston LDS Temple. Currently the Temple is only allowing us to invite 16 people to join us. :( If that number is increased between now and July 1, we will happily invite many more! Below is our brilliant pooch, Stella!
