THE FIRSTS… At the start of 2022, after what seemed like a lifetime of unsuccessful relationships, John & Kenyetta each separately decided to try online dating (Christian Mingle) for the first time. They both had major suspicion and doubt about the outcomes but decided to give it a shot. On January 28th, they saw and liked each other’s dating profiles. John, being the initiator that he is, sent the first message with a formal introduction and intentional interest. January 30th was their first phone conversation. After the basic introductions, the rest of the time was filled with laughs, discovering commonalities, and of course exchanging pictures. After 3 days of GREAT phone conversations, John & Kenyetta were excited to meet in person! Their first date was meeting for dinner on February 2nd. They entered Truluck’s (in the Woodlands TX) and were seated at a table that was FULLY decorated with fresh flowers, small stuffed animals and other little trinkets. Later, Kenyetta realized that John had all these items delivered to the restaurant earlier that afternoon. His love language is GIFT GIVING and he does it VERY WELL! Over the next couple of months their conversations, dates and time together became so enjoyable. Their basic values were aligned, and they connected so well in areas such as parenting and family, volunteerism, food, and music. That April, they both agreed that it was time for the next step of meeting each other’s families. Although they knew the makeup of their families was EXTREMELY different, both families immediately welcomed the other and shared their genuine happiness about their new relationship. Then in August, John planned their first vacation together – he took Kenyetta on a Birthday cruise to the Western Caribbean for her 46th birthday! FAST FORWARD TO FOREVER… Over the next 3 ½ years, John & Kenyetta’s love for each other grew to a deeper level. They experienced some highs and lows but realized that life was always BETTER TOGETHER! The differences that were once a challenge became opportunities to expand and grow. Their children’s bond grew and their girls now refer to each other in the most heartwarming way – as “sisters”. God’s timing and favor on their lives is evident. On December 25th, 2025, John asked “THE QUESTION” and the answer was “YES”!!! John & Kenyetta are so excited and looking forward to endless love. They FINALLY FOUND THEIR FOREVER and can’t wait to celebrate their new union with each of you!
