Q + A

Question

Please explain "Coastal Cocktail" Attire

Answer

Casual cocktail attire with a coastal beachy twist. A step up from a day at the beach, but nothing too formal. Sandals or flip flops encouraged, as the reception will be in the sand. For the ladies, fun and flowy midi dresses, sets, or jumpsuits. For the men, short or long sleeve button up and dress pants. Jackets optional, ties are not necessary, and yes, Hawaiian shirt's are allowed. Just no jeans please.

Question

Will the wedding be indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Both the ceremony and the reception will be outdoors. Please dress accordingly, as late March in Charleston can still be slightly cool, especially in the evenings. In case of rain, the reception will be moved indoors.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

There are 3 accommodation options on-site and there are several other hotel options in the area. Visit the "Travel" page for full details, or feel free to contact John or Kelly.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, all parking at Charleston Harbor Resort can be validated, even if you are not staying at the Resort. Please see the guest help desk for validation.

Question

Anything else to note?

Answer

The annual Charleston Cooper River Bridge Run falls on the same weekend as our wedding. People travel from all over to run the bridge, therefore we recommend booking your travel sooner rather than later. Please also note the Ravenel bridge will be closed Saturday morning. We highly recommend staying on property or near the wedding venue to avoid traffic and road closures.
