We're tying the knot !

We met on a flight from Costa Rica to LA on March 11, 2023. I had been visiting my sister and John had been on a surfing trip with the boys. My connecting flight home to Vancouver was changed from Houston to LA so John and I ended up on the same flight and same row with one empty seat between us. Half-way thru the flight we started talking and discovered we had both lost our spouse to Cancer and that our spouses were born the same year, same month and only 8 days apart. As we got closer to LA, I shared with him that I was unfamiliar with LAX and where to catch a ride to my hotel so John walked with me to the baggage carousel and gave me directions and his business card and said to call him if I ran into any problems. Two days later I texted him and thanked him for our conversation on the plane and for his offer to help. We have talked everyday since then and we had our first date in San Francisco on April 28, 2023 and our proposal took place on August 7, 2025 on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco (pic below). Unexpectedly, we came into each others life - not to replace what was lost, but to remind us that our hearts have room to heal and feel happiness and love again.
