We met while working at RGLA - an architecture firm in Schiller Park. We quickly bonded over Katie conveniently forgetting her wallet for lunch on her first day (which John ended up paying for), taking classes at the same floor at College of DuPage, and continuously bantering about silly quotes from our favorite shows like Parks & Recreation and How I Met Your Mother. Our relationship started with friendship that holds true to this day. In March 2019, we had our first date at the Two Brothers Roundhouse (another brewery - shocker), followed by an amazing bonfire night with friends.

Chicago is our home. We've lived in Logan Square for 3 years following John's graduation. We enjoy the Sunday Logan Square farmers market, running on the 606, being near friends, and frequenting restaurants in walking distance (Pizza Lobo, Lonesome Rose, Parsons, Lula Cafe..the list goes on)!

John's work has us making a big life move to Lexington, KY this year. We're excited, scared, and ready for some bourbon! Katie's most excited about: the tiny possibility of running into Kacey Musgraves when she buys a horse in Lexington. John's most excited about: our adventures together in a new city!
