Come comfy! No sweatpants* but no need for suits, ties or otherwise formal ware unless that's what makes you feel the best! Weather appropriate dress casual. SHOES: This is desert. DON'T wear open toed or delicate shoes. Pick shoes that are sturdy but comfortable. If you're camping out bring a pair of flops for midnight wiz breaks. WEATHER and LAYERS: It'll be warm during the day -> upper 70's to low 80's and cool at night -> mid to upper 50's. Sun protection is encouraged. Rain isn't likely but is possible.
No gifts. Your presence is present enough! HOWEVER... We're going to set off a bunch of fireworks as a grand finale sendoff. If you want to bring a gift, stop at the Moapa Travel Plaza on your way to the wedding and browse the fireworks depot. Minimum suggested gear: ground tarp, sleeping bag and a pad. Got a camp chair? Got a tent handy? Awesome! All personal and camp gear is welcome. There is plenty of space both at the ceremony site and surrounding public lands. FOOD: We will provide apps and dinner on the Day as well as a camp-style breakfast and coffee the following morning. Amenities: the Moapa Travel Plaza is at the highway intersection, about 6 miles from the ceremony site. It offers a variety of standard conveniences as well as a fireworks depot and fantastic little restaurant. $7 will get you a shower. Portable toilets and a wash station will be present at the Ceremony site. You can bring your Kula cloth, she-wee and/or personal shovel if you'd prefer a more natural setting.
We will be hanging out at the site 2 days in advance of the ceremony. If it works for your schedule, please join us! We'd love to spend as much time with you as possible. The pre-ceremony Social begins at 2:30pm on Thursday, October 17th.
Your favorite night time party accoutrements! Examples: LED hula hoops, fire poi, glow in the dark hacky sacks, etc. Recreational consumables. Crystals. Any easy and creative contribution to the festivities! Note: none of this is necessary. If you feel the pull, please feel free ;-)
