Scrolled this far eh? Wichita has a lot to offer! I would recommend checking out these following areas in Wichita. Look into Bradley Fair (E 21st & Rock Rd), College Hill (Clifton Square), Delano District (Douglas & Sycamore), Douglas Design District (Hydraulic to Washington on Douglas), Old Town Square and the Waterfront (E 13th & Webb Rd) for art, music, drinks, food, and shopping!
John signed up for a 5K that day 🤔🤮💀🫠 Click the link to join the team "John's Last One"
Located in the Delano District, Julia and I spent many hours enjoy food & drinks after our runs down by the river.
Need a dinner spot? Check out Sabor Latin Bar & Grille in Oldtown Square, Wichita KS. They offers premier cuisine influenced by South America.
Check out Milkfloat (535 West Douglas Avenue), a small batch bakery and ice cream shop in the Delano District. Or better known as where we had our first (blind) date!
John's go-to spot when he want's to do a last minute post work happy hour!
Want a nice Martini? Or a good place for cigars? (not Dr. Hemman approved though) Check out Morts! Only place that has gotten Julia's approval rating for a good martini. If you trust Adam Robl, he recommends the Orient Express.*Trump Voice* "Fantastic! The best drink I ever had"
Early bird? Or a night owl who just got off work? Check out HomeGrown at Naftzger Park (645 E. Douglas, Suite 102 Wichita, KS 67202). You can sometimes catch Julia here at 6am when she's done with her night shift!
Trying to squeeze in your long run before the weekend festivities? Check out the trail along the Arkansas River! Julia and I enjoy logging miles as we train for varies running events! We meet at this Silver Longhorn (I accidentally thought it was a buffalo...) at the NE intersection of Douglas and McClean. Julia made me put the running item at the bottom of the list. Side Note: A group called ParkRun hosts a weekly 5k at the Exploration Place just a block north of this spot!
