McLain's is one of our favorite coffee shops in Kansas City. Our first date was at a different McLain's location which we now have a rambunctious sheepadoodle named after.
This is one of our favorite date night spots and where we celebrated after our engagement! It is a great place to grab a glass of wine and play board games. Hours vary, so make sure to check before going!
Located in Midtown, Q39 offers classic barbecue dishes. Our personal favorite is the burnt ends and potato salad, but everything has been great.
The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is a Kansas City favorite with an amazing collection and a beautiful sculpture park. Entry to the main museum is free, which makes it even better. It’s also a really special place for us — this is where we got engaged.

The Plaza is a great place to walk around! It has lots of shopping and restaurants. This is right next to the Nelson-Atkins museum and a streetcar drop-off spot. Jordan lived in an apartment just off of the plaza, so we frequented the plaza often!
River Market Antiques is a huge, multi-level antique store. Antique shopping is a hobby of ours, so this is one of our favorite spots!
