Fusion Brew
Location of our first coffee together and our go-to place for wedding planning and also stepping out of wedding planning and just relaxing and enjoying each other's company. We recommend asking the staff to try a sample of their textured teas. Our favorite is Taro Milk Tea with Boba.
Children's Discovery Museum
The bride and groom have enjoyed the Children's Discovery Museum with the bride's nieces and nephews. We'd recommend checking it out if you have children.
Uptown Normal
The bride and groom have enjoyed strolls in Uptown Normal stopping at various shops and eateries and would recommend checking this area out.
Downtown Bloomington
Check out the website for things to do in Downtown Bloomington. There are a lot of neat restaurants, galleries, and other things to look into in this part of town.
Ewing Manor Cultural Center
The bride and groom have enjoyed walking the brick paths open to the public from sunrise to sunset while John was visiting in Illinois. The bride had worked events on behalf of the venue prior to moving to Haiti and she loves the preservation efforts of this historic building in Bloomington. Free parking is available at the church across the street from Ewing. Contact the staff at Ewing (309) 438-6333 or ewing@IllinoisState.edu to schedule a group tour of the house or if the weather permits walk the grounds. Tours are free with the option to donate towards the maintenance and preservation of the venue.
Constitution Trail
Weather permitting the Constitution Trail offers miles of paved walking, running, roller blading, etc. options for those who enjoy getting outdoors.
