On July 17, 2023, in the most unexpected place — the loading dock of Goodwill in Santa Ana — our forever began. It was an ordinary workday, and Jacqueline was doing her hourly patrol when she heard a man’s voice gently say, “Hello.” She stopped, turned around, and saw John standing there. Before she could even respond, he paused, took off his glove, reached out his hand, and said, “Hi, my name is John.” In that simple, respectful moment, something changed. What began as a greeting quickly became a feeling neither of us could ignore. From that very first handshake, we both knew — this was something special. What followed was a love that grew naturally, effortlessly, and deeply.
