Hayley & John - Hitched!

Things To Do

We were both born and raised in Fort Worth, so this city is very near and dear to our hearts. It’s where we grew up, where we met, and where we have spent the majority of our lives. We’ve put together a list of some of our favorite Fort Worth spots. A mix of highlights and recommended stops, places that are special to us through friends and family, and spots that have become part of our story. We hope you get to experience a little bit of the Fort Worth we know and love.
Fort Worth Stockyards

Fort Worth Stockyards

106 E Exchange Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76102

Experience the Old West with daily cattle drives, rodeos at Cowtown Coliseum, western shops, saloons, and the world-famous Billy Bob’s Texas honky-tonk.

Fort Worth Botanic Garden

Fort Worth Botanic Garden

3220 Botanic Garden Boulevard, Fort Worth, TX 76107
, 817-463-4160

The oldest botanic garden in Texas, featuring lush trails, themed gardens, and a peaceful Japanese Garden. John and I visit every spring and fall and it was our spring visit on April 20th, 2025 that John proposed.

Hotel Drover, Autograph Collection

Hotel Drover, Autograph Collection

200 Mule Alley, Fort Worth, TX 76164
, 817-755-5557

This is newer to the stockyards but has quickly turned into a highlight and a favorite stop of ours in the stockyards for a cocktail before dinner or a nightcap.

Second Rodeo Brewing

Second Rodeo Brewing

122 East Exchange Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76164
, 817-517-7548

Second Rodeo is a lively brewery-bar nestled in Mule Alley in Fort Worth’s historic Stockyards. Set inside a repurposed horse barn, it’s a great place to see live music and grab a beer or something to eat. John has played music here a few times, with many more to come.

Little Lilly Sushi

Little Lilly Sushi

6100 Camp Bowie Boulevard, Fort Worth, TX 76116
, 817-989-8886

Little Lilly Sushi is your neighborhood sushi bar, bringing a taste of Japan to Fort Worth. A Harvison favorite – this place is very special to us. Pam and Randy Harvison have been following the chef, Danny, for 20+ years until he opened his own restaurant in the very spot they found him many, many years ago.

Ketzler's Schnitzel Haus And Biergarten

Ketzler's Schnitzel Haus And Biergarten

201 East Pearl Street, Granbury, TX 76048
, 682-936-2777

Ketzler's is Nathan and Angelika Wright's restaurant in historic Granbury, TX located right in the city square. With amazing German food, great company, and live music from the amazing Karen, this spot is near and dear to our hearts (non-biased review).

Angelo's Bar-B-Que

Angelo's Bar-B-Que

2533 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, TX 76107
, 817-332-0357

A beloved Fort Worth spot since 1958, Angelo's Bar-B-Que serves authentic Texas-style brisket and pork ribs in a rustic, cafeteria-style setting. This spot is hidden in white settlement and rarely known by anyone outside of Fort Worth and even some in Fort Worth. We have grown up going here with our families and is our favorite BBQ spot in town.

Kimbell Art Museum

Kimbell Art Museum

3333 Camp Bowie Boulevard, Fort Worth, TX 76107
, 817-332-8451

A world-class art museum known for its architecture and a small but exceptional collection featuring works by Michelangelo, Monet, and Picasso.

Joe T. Garcia's

Joe T. Garcia's

2201 North Commerce Street, Fort Worth, TX 76164
, 817-626-4356

If you haven't been yet, which would be rare for this guestlist, Joe T's is a timeless Tex‑Mex favorite since 1935, renowned for its lush patio and legendary margaritas. A true Fort Worth institution. We grew up going here with family and friends and is a Fort Worth Staple if you have not visited before (but we're sure most of you have).

Fort Worth Zoo

Fort Worth Zoo

1989 Colonial Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76110
, (817) 759-7555

One of the top ranked zoos in the country and home to over 7,000 animals - it’s a Fort Worth staple to visit as a kid and always so fun.
