Wedding and Reception Attire?

Answer

Black-tie-optional means you have the option to wear black-tie attire (a tuxedo or an evening gown) or formal attire (such as a dark suit or long dress/dressy cocktail attire.) Tuxedos are encouraged. Jackets and ties are required for gentlemen at the Piedmont Driving Club.

“Coat and tie" means semi-formal or cocktail attire (men wear a blazer or sport coat with dress pants and a tie, or a suit; women wear cocktail attire). Jackets and ties are required for gentlemen at the Piedmont Driving Club.
