“We’re getting married!! Let’s Celebrate!!! 🎊

Our love story begins in August 2021. I had just received news about my health that wasn’t great. At this point I wasn’t sure what would come next. I had been single my entire life and started to feel I was missing out on so much. With advice from a friend, I decided to start up a dating profile. I wasn’t expecting much or anything to come from it. I went in knowing that 🤷🏻‍♀️. I was on the site for two weeks, when I received my first message from John. I seen his profile picture and I couldn’t put my finger on it but he felt so familiar to me. I decided to say hi back and immediately we began talking. I went into his profile and his words stuck me as “this man is genuine. He’s the real deal”. As we are speaking, John and I started discussing 80’s cartoons like He-Man and She- Ra. The discussion began because John and I sent a “What are you doing at the moment” pic to each other. When John received mine, he noticed the She-Ra poster I had on my wall. He said “By any chance do you like Masters of the Universe”. I replied “Yes She-Ra was my favorite childhood cartoon”. I said “Wow what made you think to ask that question”??? John replied “I noticed the poster on your wall”. That picture was the biggest ice breaker and immediately our conversation went from nervous to hours long. We realized we shared a love for video games, 80’s cartoons, classic movies, television and so much more. It was an instant attraction on every level. We had many things in common and we’re both looking for the same thing… our best friend & soulmate in this world. John and I had started talking about going on our first date. We had been speaking for about a month and we made a plan to go out. Then my health interfered and we had to cancel. John was patient as anything knowing I wasn’t well. He told me and tells me to this day “we have all the time in the world”. We rescheduled our First Date to the following Saturday, September 25. John asked me “Where would you like to go”. I immediately thought “Let’s go to the boardwalk. It’s a fun, laid back place that’s perfect for getting to know each other. We could hit the arcades and be kids”. We agreed and the date was set. Saturday arrived, and I turned into a nervous “datezilla”. This was my first date ever and being 42, it was very nervous moment. I wanted to look my best. Hair done beautiful, nails filled, eye brows, make up basically the whole nine yards. Things got a little hectic. I was late for the nail salon and they wanted to skip my appt (I was only 8 minutes behind). In the end my spa day was complete. I do my hair, makeup and leave to meet this amazing man I’ve been waiting what felt like forever to meet. I arrive at his apartment to pick him up and I see this smiling, handsome man walking towards my car. I’m like “Wow he’s even more handsome in person”. He gets in my car and gives me the biggest, tightest, loving hug. Then we set off to the boardwalk in Seaside Heights. We shared Curley fries, strolled along holding hands as we watched the waves in the ocean. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We continued for a little longer and stopped briefly to take a photo on the pumpkin Patch. A kind lady said “you two are adorable. Would you like me to take the photos for you”. We were so happy and sat down to take our pics. We thanked the lady then let the next family do their photos. We went to the side to look at the photos just taken and they were too cute. We started laughing and I looked up at him. I had butterflies knowing in my heart what that look meant. Then, he kissed me for the first time. It was my first, real kiss ever in my life. Though I had nothing to compare it to from before, to me, it was the most beautiful kiss ever 🥰♥️♥️♥️
