Once upon a time, while they were both surfing the Facebook Dating app. John and Deysha had a match. They both swiped right and hearted the message. This is where their love story began. DeySha's mom first thought John was a CATFISH because his name was John Johnson nor would he answer his video calls. After a couple of messages back and forth they video-called each other on Messenger. DeySha, from that point on, was head over heels because it was LOVE at first site. Their first date was at Puttshack. They had so much in common it was hard to believe. The second date was downtown Chicago by the giant Christmas tree. They talked for hours and got to know each other even more. They knew then they wanted to be together forever. They went to a Chicago Bulls game where John gave Dey a promise ring and asked her to be his girlfriend officially. They have been locked in ever since :) After many more dates and family meetings, John and Dey's love grew even more. DeySha has always been crazy about Disney. She often said John was her Knight in shining armor. In December 2023 on a family trip to Disney World, John surprised DeySha in front of Cinderella's castle and proposed on one knee. Of course, she said YES! To top it off, they now have their bundle of joy, Isaiah Bernard Johnson, born June 10, 2024!
