In April 2022, John was living in Scottsdale, Arizona and decided to head to Coachella with some friends. Coco almost missed the festival that year, but at the last minute decided she could not break her streak of going every year since she was 18, so she made the drive from Los Angeles. On Saturday night after the festival, John and his good friend Ben went to an afterparty at an estate in the desert. The party was in the barn, filled with music, dancing, and that kind of energy that makes a night feel unforgettable. Around the same time, Coco was about to call it a night when her friend mentioned one more party they could go to. As fate would have it, it was the very same one. Coco was out on the dance floor, doing what she loves most, when she spotted John leaning back against the bar. She pointed at him and motioned for him to come dance with her. Dancing is really not something John would normally do, but then again, it is not every day a beautiful woman calls you onto the dance floor. So he did. They spent some time together that evening, hit it off instantly, and exchanged numbers. The next day, they met up at the festival to say hello, then went on with their separate plans, both quietly hoping they would see each other again. They tried to meet up later for the final set, but with massive crowds and terrible cell service, it did not seem like it was going to happen. Then, as John was walking back to his friends, he ran directly into Coco. They spent the rest of the night dancing together to The Weeknd and Swedish House Mafia, and by the end of the weekend, neither of them was ready for it to end. John was driving back to Los Angeles with Ben and flying back to Arizona the next morning, but the two of them kept texting and knew they had to see each other one more time before he left. That evening, they met up, shared a bottle of wine, and talked for hours. It was simple, easy, and unforgettable. By the end of the night, both of them knew this could be something very special.
