We met at work - our story begins much like Jim and Pam's story from The Office. I was the receptionist and he was the service rep who would make excuses to come talk to me. When the pandemic hit, I thought that was the end of our friendship, but one drunk text is all it took for us to finally make things official between us. I don't think either of us thought we would feel this much love towards each other, yet here we are - years later about to get married!
John chose Christmas Day to propose because it was the same day his parents also got engaged 36 years before. The only person who knew about the proposal was John's sister, Alex - who also helped him pick the ring. John proposed at his parent's house in front of both of his parents, his Grandma Kay, and his sister. It was not a fancy proposal, but it was intimate all the same. We were sitting on the couch Christmas morning and I was still in my pajamas. We were about to pass out everyone's presents to each other when John said, "Before we pass out gifts.. *Pulls out ring from pocket* Chyanne, will you marry me?" Of course I said "YES!" Now we can't wait to celebrate starting the next chapter of the rest of our lives with all of you!
