We met during high school in 2007 while working at Brennan's Market. We were young and had no idea that our late nights spent together would turn into something more. Cassie went off to college in Oshkosh, John stayed in Madison, eventually we stopped talking. :( Flash forward to 2014, my brother, Jason, happened to work across the street from the Shea house on Norman Way. I want to say first...this story DOES have a happy ending. Jason had witness the Shea golden retriever get hit by the neighbors car, texted me about it and me being the dog lover I am, HAD to text John to make sure the pup was okay even though we hadn't talked in two years. THE PUP WAS OKAY! And that was it for John and I. The one exchange of texts-- lead to many more conversations, a 6 year relationship and eventually a decision to commit to each other, and now here we are planning on lives together! We currently in Fitchburg, WI with our pup Jaxon and both work in the Madison area. Our ideal day off is spent at Miller Park (still refusing to call it American Family Field) or camping at a state park with our dog Jaxon. We SO look forward to spending our big day with you!

We had talked about getting married for a LONG time, but we wanted to make it interesting and get engaged during a pandemic! False...! When John originally purchased the engagement ring, his plan was to combine two of the things he loved most in life...Cassie and the Brewers. He was going to propose at Miller Park! However, COVID had other plans... about a week before John was going to propose the world shut down, no attending a Brewers game in the near future, no proposing at Miller Park. However, we filled our time with other things to keep busy like hiking! On April 22th 2020 we went on a hike at Morton Forest County Park. After a small hike up to the scenic overlook we were enjoying some views when John got down on one knee and popped the question. I was so surprised and of course said yes.
