How we met: Brides edition

We met in a way that felt simple and a bit silly at the time …. online, with a message I almost didn’t overthink. I reached out first, not expecting anything life-changing to come from it, and neither of us were expecting something grand. What started as easy conversation quickly became something we both anticipated. We found ourselves talking about real things like the deep parts of our hearts, our values, our goals, the kind of life we each dreamed of building. The more I got to know him, the more I wanted to keep discovering. There was a depth to him that drew me in, kept me curious, and felt natural.Something lovely started unfolding exactly the way it was meant to. Our first date was sweet and simple, nothing extravagant, just genuine and practical. But even then, there was a sense that this was something special. Not loud or rushed just steady and real, deep and meaningful, hopeful and exciting. As our relationship grew, so did we. Although it felt perfect, It wasn’t, but it was intentional. Any disagreement became a springboard into understanding each other more deeply. instead of pulling us apart, those moments brought us closer. Everyday it became more clear that God was working in both of us healing, refining, and gently guiding our hearts toward something stronger that He was creating. Then came the moment I had been anticipating: his proposal. It was Christmas time. He told me to get dressed up for a special date. I didn’t know all the details, but I could tell he had put so much intention into the night. He had even arranged a car to pick us up… but in true “me” fashion, I accidentally locked my keys in the car and made us late, so we missed the first part of his plan. Somehow that only made the night feel more real and memorable. He took me to Bella’s Fine Dining, and in the middle of such a simple, beautiful moment, everything changed. He found the perfect time, got down on one knee, and asked me to spend forever with him. Overwhelmed with all the emotions, I ecstatically said "YES!" After dinner, he led me to a candlelit concert with live string instruments. Surrounded by music, light, and the thoughtfulness of every detail, it was more than a proposal it was a reflection of the man he is and the love we share. It was romantic, meaningful, and perfectly us. What started as a simple message became something undeniable which is a love rooted in faith, built on trust, and strengthened over time. Through it all, it’s clear: God had a plan for us all along.
