Lisa and I have been colleagues and friends and visionary instigators for nearly twenty years! Both educators, our best moments have been as teachers of gifted students at Milton High School in Alpharetta, GA. I finally convinced Lisa at one point to purchase a home immediately behind mine in the Spring Ridge subdivision and we have championed one another as we walked the hills of our subdivision, shared stolen moments when school was shut down during the blizzards of 2014 over bowls of chili, but -- most importantly -- Lisa walked beside me at the diagnosis of my husband's illness and through the early days of my widowhood. Today Lisa celebrates the the mystery of God's plan for my life and the miracle of my second chance at romance and marriage with John!

Upon being asked if she would serve as the flower girl at John's and my wedding, Zoe's response was one of immediate exuberance: "I've been waiting my whole life for this role!" Zoe resides in Powder Springs with her mother; father; older brother Silas; two ducks; two goats; three chickens; one dog; and the family cat, Ivar the Hairless. She is developing her natural talent for music in the fields of keyboard and music composition. Other interests include jiu jitsu and thinking up new and vexing challenges for her brother.
