FAQs

The Wedding Website of Capri Vita and John Simon
Question

When should I Rsvp by?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 25th, 2025!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is "Garden Party Formal". Think dark or colored suits & ties and floor-length colorful dresses or floral gowns! For inspiration, you can Google "garden party formal wedding attire". Ladies, see next question for some colors to avoid.

Question

What colors are the bridesmaids wearing?

Answer

The bridal party will be in shades of wine, berry, and chartreuse/olive green.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive to the church close to 1 PM and be seated by 1:15 PM. Mass will begin at promptly 1:30 PM.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our ceremony and reception will be adults only.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are unfortunately unable to accommodate all plus ones due to the size of the venue. If you have a plus one, it will be indicated on your invitation.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

There is an option to select dietary meal options (dairy-free, gluten-free, vegetarian, etc) when you RSVP.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have reserved a block of rooms at the The Royal Sonesta Chase Park Plaza St. Louis. Please visit the Accommodations page for the link to book and other recommendations! The deadline to book the Chase is October 3rd.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony/reception?

Answer

Currently, the hotel does not offer a shuttle service. We recommend using rideshares such as Uber/Lyft to get to the church and reception venues. Both venues are less than three miles from the hotel. Pro tip: order a ride ahead of time to avoid delays!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking is very limited at the church for the ceremony - there is a small parking lot. This is why we recommend rideshare. If you drive, we recommend parking down a residential street in the neighborhood (The Hill). Allow yourself a bit of extra time for parking as streets on the Hill are tight and can be crowded. There will be free, secured parking at the reception venue as we have an entire lot rented for guest use with a security guard. Please arrive to the main entrance of the Botanical Garden and follow signs for wedding event parking/entrance to the Bayer Event Center.

Question

What should I do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

What a great question! We know there's a few hours between events to kill some time while the wedding party takes photos, so we compiled a list of our favorite STL recommendations in the "Things To Do" tab. Also, our hotel has a bar inside called the Chase Club if you'd like to head back to the hotel for a bit to relax!

Question

First time visiting St. Louis? Or just looking for some fun recommendations while in town?

Answer

We again recommend using rideshare services to get around the city as STL is pretty spread-out. We have many fun, walkable neighborhoods here. Please see the Things To Do tab for all of our recommended STL fun spots. :)

Question

Will there be an after party?

Answer

Of COURSE! We will head to one of our favorite late-night, downtown bars to continue the party. More details to come at the end of the night.
