Question

When and where is the wedding?

Answer

The wedding will be taking place on Saturday, September 19th, 2026 at The Legacy Stables and Events in Winston Salem, North Carolina. The ceremony will take place in the Carolina Room, indoors within the Forsyth Barn at 3:00pm. Cocktail Hour will begin promptly after the ceremony between 4:00-5:00pm. The Reception will taken place within the Forsyth Barn, into the Grand Ballroom, from 5:00pm to 11:00pm.

Is this an indoor or outdoor event?

Answer

Both ceremony and reception will be held indoors.

What's the dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see our family and friends dressed up for our big day. We are requesting cocktail attire (semi-formal) for the evening. For men this means, button down shirts and dress pants with a tie or bow-tie. No jacket/full suit necessary. For women, cocktail dresses, knee length or floor length are appropriate. We ask to avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride - white, ivories, and creams.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We are asking guests to honor our unplugged ceremony- that means no phones, cameras, or tablets during the ceremony itself. Our photographers will capture everything, and we'll happily share photos with you later. Once the ceremony ends, feel free to take all the picture and videos your heart desires!

When should I arrive?

Answer

We kindly ask thet guests arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony begins- that way, everyone has time to park, find their seat, and settle in before we say "I do." The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00pm, and we want to make sure no one misses a moment.

Is parking available on site?

Answer

Yes, parking is available and free! There are parking attendants on site that will be greeting everyone and directing everyone to the main entrance.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Due to venue capacity and our desire to keep the celebration intimate, we are only able to accommodate plus-ones for guests who received an invitation with one included. If your invitation includes a plus one option, we'd love for you to bring a guest!

Will there be assigned seating at ceremony?

Answer

Rows will be reserved at the front for the immediate families of the bride and groom. All other guests are welcome to sit anywhere they feel comfortable. Thank you!

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adult-only (21+) event with the exception of those little ones in our bridal party. We hope you understand and enjoy the night off as we can't wait to celebrate with you!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Please note that we will have a cash bar available during cocktail hour and reception. While we'd love to host everything, we've chosen this option to keep things simple and within our budget. We appreciate your understanding and can't wait to raise a glass with you!

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP Card?

Answer

We invite you to RSVP online here or by mailing in the RSVP card sent with your invitation. RSVP will open when formal wedding invitations are sent out!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than August 16, 2026. If you do not RSVP by August 16th, we will be unable to accommodate you at our wedding. We will miss celebrating with you, however we cannot accept late RSVPs and we will mark any unanswered responses as "declined." We need to provide our venue with exact numbers by a certain date, so please don't RSVP late!
