Big Red Barn offers an indoor petting zoo, educational classes and coming late March, a Brazilian Cafe titled the Capy Hour Cafe, with capybaras you can feed. We fully plan on doing this! They require reservations and have limited hours but at only $15 a person this would be a fun activity for all. Please check their site for more information.
Located right next to The Resort, Tubbs Hill features several miles of hiking trails that provide spectacular scenery for everyone to enjoy. Check out the map to find your route in this 165 acre natural park. The entrance to Tubbs Hill is McEuen Park, which features the largest playground in the area and a large grassy area to lay in the sun and take in the views. Parking is nearby for a small charge.
Home to the famous floating green on 14, this golf course offers stunning views of the lake at almost every hole. If you're staying at The Resort inquire about the golf packages they offer. The Resort also offers shuttles with booked tee times.
Explore Lake Coeur D'Alene via a seaplane tour. We did this and enjoyed every second and every view. The 45 minute Lake Flight takes you across the entire lake, showcasing large celebrity homes, wetlands, and well known bays. If you're lucky you may even spot wildlife. Sadly, the Bride does not own this company, but she really likes the name! :)
A MUST DO! Cisco’s carries one-of-a-kind pieces that define America and the Wild West. They collect diverse pieces from multiple eras and cultures, including historic artifacts, antiques, fine art, and western home furnishings. Or if you're in the market for a stuffed Grizzly Bear, this is your spot. We spent almost 2 hours taking in all the items Cisco's has to offer. While it has a high price point, it can be treated like a museum and you still won't see all they have to offer. We could not recommend popping in here more if we tried.
